David and Trisha first met in Lakeland, Florida in 2008, and reunited three years later at Bethel Church in Redding, California. David and Trisha were married at Bethel in 2012 and spent their first year of marriage completing BSSM's Second Year program. After living in various places throughout Canada for the next decade, they are now happily back in Redding. David and Trisha both have a passion for living Spirit-led lives and love to see people transformed by His glorious grace.
David Cwir
After receiving his PhD in Psychology at the University of Waterloo, David moved to Redding, California where he attended BSSM for two years. David was then hired as a professor of psychology at Tyndale University in Toronto. After working at Tyndale for a few years, David and Trisha planted a church in Ottawa where they served as Lead Pastors. David then worked as a professor at Booth University College and Briercrest College and Seminary. David is now a professor at Simpson University in Redding, California.
Trisha Cwir
After getting radically saved in San Francisco, Trisha moved back to her home town of Kansas City where she attended the International House of Prayer. While at IHOP, Trisha completed the Fire in the Night internship, and then served as an Intern with Lou Engle and The Cause. For the next few years, Trisha found herself in a season of residing in the midst of international revival (Lakeland) and various global movements (Morningstar). In 2010 the Lord led Trisha to attend BSSM in Redding California, where she would eventually marry her husband David. After working as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Anytime Fitness, pastoring at a new church plant in Ottawa, and working as a Project Manager at GFIT Wellness, Trisha is now a Business Advisor at Thryv.
