“The Fear of The Lord” is something that is rarely talked about these days, which is often rooted in people’s difficulty reconciling the love of God with the Fear of God. As a result, people tend to rationalize the Fear of The Lord away in an attempt to resolve this seeming paradox. This is partly due to the misconception that the Fear of The Lord means to be scared of God, when in reality, people who fear The Lord are scared to be AWAY from God. In fact, the Fear of The Lord is a key to greater intimacy with God which is one reason why Jesus even delighted in the fear of The Lord (Isaiah 11:1-3)!
