The scriptures speak of salvation in terms of God the Father as initiating it, Christ as effecting it historically through His death and resurrection, and the Spirit as the one who effects it experientially in the individual's life. Although important, Salvation in Christ is not simply a theological truth, based on God’s prior action and the historical work of Christ. Salvation is an experienced reality, made so by the Spirit coming into our lives.
