"Why bother talking about hell?" Jesus discussed Hell frequently in the Gospels. He didn’t see describing the torment and the fact it was never-ending as a lack of compassion, He saw it as an essential to reaching us as the Good Shepherd. Jesus’ teaching on hell was motivated by love, since all He did and taught was out of a heart of compassion. That begs the question: Are we doing the best service to people today by not mentioning hell from our pulpits? Is that true love?
